Germany, Luftwaffe. A Rare Fallschirmjäger Badge, Officer’s Bullion Version

A rare example of a cloth and bullion wire Luftwaffe Officer’s Fallschirmjäger Badge, constructed of a dark grey wool base, the obverse bearing an oval laurel and oak wreathed overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, carefully executed in hand-embroidered silver aluminum and gold bullion wire, respectively, unmarked, measuring 46 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), an exceptional example in uniform-removed and extremely fine condition.
