Germany, Heer. A Krim Shield

(Krimschild). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a field-grey wool liner and black paper stock backer, the shield measuring 54.02 mm (w) x 60.97 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
