Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse bearing a raised and silverd Stahlhelm overlaid by an inscription of “DER STAHLHELM”, above a silvered date of “1923” topped by oak leaves, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, etched with a date of “14. 4. 23.”, maker marked with the logo of Der Stahlhof, Magdeburg, measuring 30.52 mm in diameter, weighing 11.2 grams, with loss of silver finish evident to the obverse, in very fine condition.
