Germany, Luftwaffe. An Observer Badge Ring

(Beobachterabzeichen Fingerring). Constructed of nickel silver, the exterior bearing an apparent mirrored depiction of a Luftwaffe Observer Badge consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the interior stamped with an “ALPACA” mark indicating nickel silver composition, corresponding to a size 9.75, weighing 3.7 grams, accompanied by one half of a presentation case measuring 33 mm (w) x 25 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
