Russia, Soviet Union. An Order of Kutuzov, II Class, Type II

(Орден Кутузова). Instituted in 1942. Three-piece construction, in silver with red and white enamels, mint marked "МОНЕТНЫЙ ДВОР" (Monetny Dvor) and number engraved "1593" on the reverse, measuring 47 mm (w) x 48.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, screwback, intact enamels, the silver with a dark patina, very light contact, near extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of Kutuzov was instituted on July 28, 1942 and was awarded to army officers for planning and execution of operations in which the enemy is heavily defeated, in three grades.
