Romania, Kingdom. An Air Force Merit Cross, I Class with Swords

Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a winged cross, overlaid by a central shield bearing a Romanian national eagle with the monogram of King Michael I, the reverse with a raised date of “1930”, with crossed swords through the centerpiece, unmarked, measuring 42.40 mm (w) x 50.40 mm (h), weighing 15.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
