A rare lot of Knight’s Cross documentation to Luftwaffe night fighter aces Anton Heinemann and Carlos Nugent, both of Nachtjagdgeschwader 2, consisting of: 1. A two-page Vorschlagsliste detailing 48 aerial victories, featuring dates and aircraft types (the latter where applicable), current to 22 March 1942, the documents issued on 19 June 1945 and certified by the handwritten signature of Hauptmann Gerhard Rath (night fighter ace with 58 victories and a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 24 June 1944; with Oak Leaves, 15 April 1945), with folding creases visible, in overall extremely fine condition. 2. A Luftwaffe Command notice that Anton Heinemann and Carlos Nugent, both of Nachtjagdgeschwader 2, have been awarded the Knight’s Cross and are to provide the appropriate entries in their respective Soldbücher and Wehrpäße, dated 30 April 1945 and certified by the handwritten signature of Oberstleutnant Wolfgang Thimming (night fighter ace with 24 victories and a recipient of the German Cross in Gold, 12 July 1944), in extremely fine condition.
