(Zollgrenzschutz Gürtel mit Schnalle). A rare Zollgrenzschutz official’s dress uniform belt and buckle, the former constructed of a green wool base, overlaid on the obverse with a layer of silver aluminum wire, in turn bisected by a green threaded tresse with a central narrow silver aluminum wire band, one end retaining an aluminum loop, the opposite end retaining a hidden blackened leather tongue perforated with ten sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, unmarked, measuring 4.5 cm (w) x 98 cm (l), in near mint condition; the latter constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a government-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a clip and loop through which the belt has been inserted, the clip maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, and a manufacture date of “39”, measuring 50 mm in diameter, in near mint condition.
