Germany, Third Reich. A Postwar Allied Occupation Police Armband

(Polizei Armband). Constructed of white cotton, the exterior bearing a black dyed inscription of “M.G. - M.R.” and “POLICE - POLIZEI”, unmarked, measuring 19 cm (w) x 11.5 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface, with minor soiling evident, a classic example of an identifying insignia worn by police personnel in immediate-postwar Allied-occupied Germany c. 1945-1946, in extremely fine condition.
