Germany, Luftwaffe. A Mixed Lot of Uniform Insignia

(Luftwaffe Insignien). A mixed lot of four Luftwaffe uniform insignia, including:

1. An Officer’s visor cap eagle, constructed of dark grey wool, the obverse bearing a hand-embroidered Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 76 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), with minor material fatigue evident, in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.

2. A Flight Personnel Major collar tab, constructed of golden-yellow wool with a buckram core, trimmed with twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire piping, the obverse bearing a single wreathed gull of identical construction, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 60 mm (h), with minor soiling evident, in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.

3. A Flight Personnel Oberst collar tab, constructed of golden-yellow wool with a buckram core, trimmed with twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire piping, the obverse bearing three wreathed gulls of identical construction, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 60 mm (h), with minor soiling evident, in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.

4. An incomplete Transport Unit Oberstleutnant collar tab, constructed of light blue wool, the obverse bearing two machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire wreathed gulls, measuring 80 mm (w) x 110 mm (h), with soiling and material fatigue evident, in better than very fine condition.
