$202
(Heer Tropenhose). An extremely well-preserved set of Heer tropical breeches, constructed of olive-drab cotton twill. They feature an integral belt consisting of a hollow channel set into the waistband through which is looped a khaki-tan canvas strap emanating at two ends, with the left side retaining a magnetic metal buckle with claws. The breeches close with a French fly, consisting of six feinzink buttons meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes. Dual side pockets are set into the upper thighs and are accessible through reinforced diagonal slits, while the reverse features a single pocket set into the upper right leg. A reinforced seat extends from the front through to the back, and down the inner half of the legs through to the calves. Each ankle has a vertical slit closing with original black laces looped through an arrangement of reinforced eyelets for a fully adjustable fit. A white cotton interior liner extends across the waistband and forms the interior of the pockets, and is stamped with a black ink Reichsbetriebsnummer (RBNr.) of “0/0661/0016” for an unidentified manufacturer, in addition to size dimensions and a manufacture date of “F43”. The breeches measure approximately 40 cm across the waist, with an inseam of 33 cm, and an overall length of 96 cm. Demonstrating no evident damage or wear, they remain in an extremely fine condition.
