Germany, Wehrmacht. A Pair of EM/NCO Belt Buckles

(Wehrmacht Gürtelschnallen für Mannschaften). A pair of EM/NCO belt buckles, including;

1. A Heer buckle, constructed of pebbled aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing a raised inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with minor denting evident, in near extremely fine condition.

2. A Luftwaffe buckle, constructed of pebbled aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Luftwaffe-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining an original brown leather strap stamped with a partially-legible maker’s mark of “JULIUS MAURER, OBERSTEIN-NAHE” circumscribing a date of “1938”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
