Germany, Wehrmacht. A Spanish Cross, Bronze Grade with Swords

(Spanienkreuz in Bronze mit Schwertern). Constructed of bronze, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse with pebbled arms and with raised Luftwaffe eagles clutching mobile swastikas joining the quadrants, bearing a central mobile swastika situated within dual rings, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 56.41 mm (w) x 56.42 mm (h), weighing 29.2 grams, demonstrating a consistent patina throughout, in extremely fine condition.
