(Medaillen). A mixed lot of three medals, including:

1. An Anschluss Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised date of “13. MÄRZ 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.44 mm in diameter, weighing 15.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition.

2. An Air Defence Honour Medal, II Class, constructed of aluminum, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ” (“FOR MERIT IN AIR DEFENCE”), the reverse bearing a central raised date of “1938”, measuring 38.73 mm (w) x 43.39 mm (h), weighing 13.0 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.

3. A Bavarian Military Merit Cross, III Class with Swords, constructed of coppered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original civilian-issue ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Ludwig II, surrounded by a stylized belt and buckle bearing a raised inscription of “MERENTI” (“MERIT”) with arabesques, the reverse bearing a central raised Bavarian lion rampant, surrounded by a stylized belt and buckle bearing a raised institution date of “1866” with arabesques, the obverse twelve o’clock arm riveted with a crossed sword clasp, unmarked, measuring 42.91 mm (w) x 48.92 mm (h), weighing 19.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
