Germany, Third Reich. A Rare Silver Diplomat’s Badge Presented to Otto Meissner by Reichsminister Joachim von Ribbentrop

A rare and unique Diplomat’s Badge, constructed of silver, the obverse featuring a pebbled disc overlaid by a NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn set atop a globe, the reverse with a barrel hinge and flattened pinback meeting a rounded catch, engraved with dedication of “DR. OTTO MEISSNER / 13. 3. 1940 / RIBBENTROP” indicating that the badge was presented to Chief of the Presidential Chancellery Dr. Otto Meissner by Reichsminister of Foreign Affairs Joachim von Ribbentrop, stamped with a silver content number of “800”, measuring 26.59 mm in diameter, weighing 12.3 grams, a desirable and customized badge gifted between to key Third Reich government figures in extremely fine condition.
