Russia, Imperial. A Ninth Finnish Regiment Badge, c.1916

In silvered bronze, a large badge with the central combined monogram of Alexander I and Nicholas II contained within a folded and textured ribbon, with the dates 1811 1911 9F (for 9th Finnish) and 223 (for 223 Infantry Reserve Korotoyaksky Regiment), the reverse with a long central screwpost, the screwplate marked 3.КОРТМАНь denoting Kortman manufacture, measures 35.2mm (w) x 61.4mm (h), weighs 28.2 grams, screwplate and monogram heavily oxidized, remains in near very fine condition.
