Russia, Imperial. A Nicholas Cavalry School Badge, c.1915

In silver gilt, a crowned doubled headed eagle with downward pointing wings, clutching a wreath and staff, in the center of the eagle sits a miniature star of the Order of St. Andrew, the reverse features a central screwpost with plate and screwback with dual rings, measures 42.35mm (w) x 38.37mm (h), weighs 22.1 grams, hand etching, light wear, in extremely fine condition.
