A straight armed cross paty of silvered bronze and multi-coloured enamels, the obverse centre bears a man with a sword and shield slaying a dragon (potentially Saint Michael or Saint George), on a red enamel background encompassed by a silvered border, the cross arms are of white enamel, the 12 o’clock arm reads “C5” the 9 o’clock arm reads “1919”, the 3 o’clock arm reads “1920” and the 6 o’clock arm reads “23 III”, multiple rays lay in the quadrants between the arms, the reverse is plain and shows the attachment prongs of the obverse centre plate, with a screwback, plate is marked “S. BERCS RIGA METALS”, measuring 46.82 mm (w) x 47.21 mm (h), very fine.
