(Wehrmacht nichttragbare Verdienstmedaille "Für Verdienste um das Deutsche Hundewesen"). Constructed of patinated magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a central raised Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “VERLIEHEN VOM OBERKOMMANDO DES HEERES” (“AWARDED BY THE SUPREME COMMAND OF THE ARMY”), the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of “FOR SERVICES TO GERMAN DOGS”, unmarked, measuring 40.29 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
