A rare and historic document which outlines the international travels and many of the political movements of communist Romania's leader during the post war years. Leather-bound cover, with the embossed coat-of-arms of the Romanian People's Republic on the front cover, each named to "Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej" with his emboss stamped photo in black and white. Dated April 25, 1949 and numbered "0002", presenting his international travels up to and including 1951. Entries include travels to the Soviet Union (USSR), the German Democratic Republic (DDR), the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (CSSR) and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRJ). Measuring 102 mm x 145 mm, near very fine.
