(Георгиевский крест). Instituted in 1807. In silver, German-manufactured, unmarked, the reverse number impressed "19" and "813" on the reverse of the arms at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively, measuring 36.5 mm (w) x 42.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, exhibiting surface wear and multiple contact marks overall, on a period ribbon with glue residue on its reverse from previous board mounting, near fine.
Footnote: The Cross of St. George was instituted on February 13, 1807 and awarded for courage in battle, initially in one grade, and later, as of 1856, in four grades.
