(Георгиевский крест). Instituted in 1807. In silver, the reverse number marked "173" and "134" (173,134) on the arms at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively, along with being marked Third Class in Russian on the arm at 6 o'clock, measuring 34.5 mm (w) x 41 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, very dark patina, exhibiting light contact and spotting, replacement ribbon mounted to a modern five-sided brass suspension with pinback, better than very fine.

 

Footnote: The Cross of St. George was instituted on February 13, 1807 and awarded for courage in battle, initially in one grade, and later, as of 1856, in four grades.
