In silver gilt with blue and white enamels, measuring 50.7 mm (w) x 75.2 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, missing its ring suspension, fine chipping and crazing evident in the white enamels on the emanating star points and stars on both sides, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Immaculate Conception of Vila Viçosa was instituted on February 6, 1818 and discontinued on October 15, 1910 as a Portuguese Order, but retained as a Dynastic Order of the House of Braganza, the former Portuguese Royal Family. It was awarded for services rendered to the Royal House in four grades: Grand Cross, Commander, Knight and Servant.
