A private wartime photo album from an Heer soldier who served with a cavalry unit, constructed of a card stock binding with a faux textured leather exterior liner, the spine perforated with four holes reinforced with magnetic metal grommets through which is looped a drawstring that maintains the album’s structural integrity, the front cover bearing a silvered Stahlhelm and inscription of “ERINNERUNGEN” (“MEMORIES”), the interior content consisting of 23 black card stock pages bearing 95 private black-and-white images, with the majority of the former consisting of scenes the owner with other mounted Heer personnel in barracks and on maneuvers during winter, with the remaining images depicting Heer and Luftwaffe personnel at leisure, concluding with portrait-style photos of Heer and Luftwaffe personnel in uniform, unmarked, measuring 27 cm (w) x 19 cm (h), two photos are missing and minor material fatigue is evident to the album, in near extremely fine condition.
