Italy, Kingdom. A Commemorative Cross of the Spanish Campaign

(Croce Commemorativa della Campagna di Spagna). Instituted in 1940. In bronze, obverse presenting a central sword with a star on the 3 and 9 o’clock arms and the date 17 VII 1936, reverse features the Spanish emblem with the inscription GUERRA POR LA UNIDAD NACIONAL ESPANOLA, measuring 37.30 mm (w) x 44.15 mm (h-inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension), weighs 12.8 grams, spotting on reverse, dark patina, remains in very fine condition.
