Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by RODO

(Waffen-SS Gürtelschnalle für Mannschaften/Unteroffiziere). Constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), the reverse with a loop featuring a cranked foot and swivel attachment prongs, maker marked with the “RODO” trade name of Robert C. Dold, Offenburg, measuring 64 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), demonstrating a consistent patina throughout, in near extremely fine condition.
