(Auszeichnungen und Insignien). A mixed lot of four awards and insignia, including:

1. A War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR KRIEGS-VERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.09 mm in diameter, weighing 12.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.

2. A Russian Liberation Army sleeve insignia, constructed of a grey rayon backer, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered multi-coloured unit insignia, unmarked, measuring 80 mm (w) x 84 mm (h), an unusual pattern in unissued and extremely fine condition.

3. A 1936 Berlin Olympics Commemorative Medallion in Silver, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a raised female figure clutching an olive branch and laurel crown, circumscribed by an inscription of “ZUR EHRE DES VATERLANDES ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS” (“TO THE HONOUR OF THE FATHERLAND, TO THE GLORY OF SPORTS”), the reverse bearing a central raised bell overlaid by a German national eagle clutching Olympic rings, the rim of the bell bearing an inscription of “ICH RUFE DIE JUGEND DER WELT” (“I CALL THE YOUTH OF THE WORLD”), circumscribed by an inscription of “OLYMPISCHE SPIELE BERLIN MCMXXXVI” (“OLYMPIC GAMES BERLIN 1936”), unmarked, measuring 36 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.

4. A 1937 Kyffhäuserbund marksmanship victor’s badge, constructed of cupal, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a 1914 Iron Cross, surrounding a central bullseye target overlaid by a date of “1940” and crossed rifles, topped by a detailed depiction of the Kyffhäuser Monument and a plaque bearing an inscription of “WETTKAMPFSIEGER” (“COMBAT GAMES VICTOR”), attached to a backplate with a black wool reverse liner, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), demonstrating moderate mothing to the reverse liner, in overall near extremely fine condition.
