Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Coastal Artillery War Badge, by Schwerin

(Kriegsabzeichen der Marine-Artillerie). Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central depiction of a coastal artillery gun with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a barrel inge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “SCHWERIN, BERLIN”, measuring 41.84 mm (w) x 54.52 mm (h), weighing 25.6 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish, in near extremely fine condition.
