Germany, Heer. A Flak Badge, by Wilhelm Hobacher

(Heeres-Flakabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Wilhelm Hobacher, Vienna, measuring 44.52 mm (w) x 60.10 mm (h), weighing 27.6 grams, demonstrating loss of finish throughout in addition to possible hinge repair, in very fine condition.
