Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with bronze clasp and horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with ribbed arms, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, unmarked, measuring 45.33 mm (w) x 45.40 mm (h), weighing 26.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon and clasp), demonstrating minor surface oxidation, a rare wartime example of a Spanish manufactured award in near extremely fine condition.
