Croatia. A Second War Period Ustasha Officer’s Side Cap (Dorojnik)

A fine Croatian-made example of a Ustasha Officer’s side cap; constructed with a black cotton exterior, with a distinctive Croatian design and colours, depicting trademark fold-down panels on both sides and at the front, with two rising peaks forming a valley along the top. The front features an aluminum Officer’s Ustasha insignia sewn in place. It is lined with a black cotton blended fabric, without a a sweatband, depicting a manufacturer’s tag that is marked “447 LLO 02 U1 45” in black ink; measuring 290 mm x 110 mm; a worn example in overall very fine condition.
