(Ehrenblattspange der Luftwaffe). Instituted 5 July 1944. (1944-1945 issue). Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika over a hollow void, the reverse retaining all four slash-cut attachment prongs, retaining a period original full length 1939 Iron Cross II Class ribbon, measuring 24.26 mm (w) x 24.47 mm (h), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a heavy card stock frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a blue felt lid liner and retractable blue feld medal bed featuring slots for the accommodation of the ribbon, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), minor material fatigue is evident throughout the exterior liner of the case while the decoration demonstrates only slight loss of finish to high-contact points on the obverse, a rare and matched set to a distinguished Luftwaffe serviceman in extremely fine condition.
