(Τάγμα του Φοίνικος). Instituted May 13, 1926. Type II. 1935-1947 Issue. A silver gilt phoenix insignia, mounted to an silver gilt and white enamelled cross base, type II with crown and without the letters ETTA, cypher of George I on the reverse centrepiece, measures 58.62mm (w) x 81.60mm (h - inclusive of its crown suspension), weights 39.8 grams, on its original full-length neck ribbon, intact enamels, light gilt wear, extremely fine.

Contained in original case of issue, a yellow leatherette exterior with an impressed crowned phoenix on the lid, the interior with a silk interior lid marked RUDOLF SOUVAL, the base with a black velvet recessed medal bed, measures 90mm (w) x 137mm (l) x 27mm (d), loss of gilt to naming in lid, light wear to exterior, hinge and clasp functional.
