Manufactured most likely for a wartime medalbar circa 1942, in bronze gilt with white enamel, green enamel wreath with red enamel centrepiece bearing monogram of Victor Emmanuel, 1855 on obverse, reverse all bronze with makers mark on back bearing “P. Meybauer Berlin SW68 Junker STR 19”. Measuring at 44.17mm (w) x 48.27mm (h) ( to top of suspension ball), weighing at 13.6 grams, extremely fine and rare by this maker.
