Austria, Empire. A Bravery Medal, I Class

Silver medal, bearing “DER TAPFERKEIT” (Translation: For Bravery), with older style “Stielhenkelose” suspension, surrounded by a laurel wreath on obverse, reverse bearing bust of Franz Joseph I and stamped “LEISEK”, 40.77mm (w) x 46.29mm (h) (to top of ring suspension) and weighing at 21.1 grams, original ribbon, in extremely fine condition. Excellent example with fine toning.
