Hungary, Regency. An Order of the Holy Crown, Military Division, Knight in Case

Instituted March 3, 1942. A lovely knight in silver gilt, featuring a white armed cross with segments of wreath in each quadrant, and crossed swords piercing the central medallion, of which presents a Hungarian crown on a green enamelled field, the reverse is presents white enamelled arms with a plain medallion impressed 1942, measures 43.4mm (w) x 47.7mm (h), weighs 34.3 grams, worn on triangular red ribbon, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.

Contained in its original case of issue, in green leatherette exterior featuring the crown, crossed swords and partial wreath, interior with a silk lid and crème coloured recessed medal bed, measures 67mm (w) x 108mm (h), hinge and catch functional, in very fine condition.
