(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of three badges and insignia, including:

1. An Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 46.51 mm (w) x 61.51 mm (h), weighing 24.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.

2. A Heer Gebirgsjäger EM/NCO’s sleeve insignia, constructed of field-grey wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered multi-coloured edelweiss, set within a knotted border topped by a piton, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 68 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.

3. A Reichsarbeitsdienst (Reich Labour Service/RAD) Leader’s belt buckle, constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a circular wheat stalk wreath, around a central raised RAD logo in the form of a shovel head bearing a mobile swastika, the reverse with dual clips, maker marked with the logo of F.W. ASSMANN & SÖHNE, LÜDENSCHEID, measuring 45 mm in diameter, missing its loops, in very fine condition.
