(Medaille des Militär-St.Heinrichs-Ordens in Silber). Instituted 23 December 1829 by King Anton. (1848-1918 issue). Official War time issue (with initials at the bottom of Kings neck). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and rightward-facing profile of King Friedrich August, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “VERDIENST UM DAS VATERLAND” (“SERVICE TO THE FATHERLAND”), situated within a circular laurel leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by cannons and standards, measuring 35.70 mm in diameter, weighing 23.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon(), in extremely fine condition.
