The Guidon (military personal standard) of Francisco Franco as Head of Spanish State (1940-1975). In padded rayon, each guidon has a scalloped exterior edge, with an embroidered gold threaded border with a gold bullion wire fringe on three sides, while the hoist edge features four rayon loops to allow for a central pole to fit through the center, the main depiction is of the traditional King of Castile with two golden dragants in opposite corners of the Pillars of Hercules. Each measures 152mm (w) x 127mm (h), excluding the fringe, each weighs 10.1 grams. Two beautiful and rare examples of Franco’s personal standards, each with no wear, in overall extremely fine condition.
