1. A Braunschweig War Merit Cross, II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Duke Ernst August, flanked by clusters of oak leaves, topped by a royal crown, and situated above a date of “1914”, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE” (“FOR MERIT IN WAR”), unmarked, measuring 30.23 mm (w) x 35.20 mm (h), weighing 12.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Württemberg Charlotte Cross, constructed of a silver alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Shamrock Cross, the obverse bearing the raised and integrated monograms of King Wilhelm II and Queen Charlotte, the reverse bearing a central raised date of “1916”, unmarked, measuring 40.33 mm (w) x 44.90 mm (h), weighing 15.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), demonstrating moderate loss of finish to the base metal, in very fine condition.
3. A Bavarian King Ludwig Cross, constructed of blackened magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of an elongated Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing a central leftward-facing profile of King Ludwig III, the reverse bearing a central oval medallion overlaid by a raised date of “7. 1. 1916”, unmarked, measuring 39.74 mm (w) x 45.82 mm (h), weighing 19.3 grams, in extremely fine condition.
