(Орден Святого Владимира, 3-я степень крест). Instituted 3 October 1782 by Catherine II. In Gold, consisting of a Cross Pattée with red enamelled arms trimmed with black enamel which has been replaced in the 1920s, the obverse bearing a central black enamelled medallion overlaid by a hand-painted monogram of Saint Vladimir, the reverse bearing a central black enamelled medallion overlaid by a silvered Julian calendar institution date of “22 СЕНТЯБРЯ 1782” (“22 SEPTEMBER 1782”), the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop and replacement suspension ring marked 900 retaining a period original triangular ribbon, marked on the reverse 12 and 6 o’clock arms with Cyrillic makers mark, marked on the side of the medallion with a kokoshnik, measures 35.0mm (w) x 38.8mm (h), weighs 7.5 grams, remains in very fine condition.
