Germany, Luftwaffe. A Short Range Day Fighter Clasp, Gold Grade with 200 Hanger, by G.H. Osang

(Frontflugspange in Gold mit Anhänger). Constructed of gilded and patinated zink,the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, joined at the bottom by a swastika, with a central upward-pointing winged arrow, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the bottom with dual integral loops accommodating a hand bearing a blackened number “200” flanked by laurel leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “G.H. OSANG, DRESDEN”, measuring 77.04 mm (w) x 25.44 mm (h), weighing 21.3 grams, the gilt finish has been lost, in overall better than very fine condition.
