Constructed of a silvered aluminum alloy, the obverse consisting of a raised SS-style eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, on above a banner bearing a raised inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), the reverse with a swivel loop bearing two attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo, the double Sig runs of the SS, a contract number and date of “36/38”, and the logo of maker Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid, measuring 50 mm in diameter, the reverse clasp has broken off and there is extensive material fatigue evident throughout, likely ground found, good.
