Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle in mid-flight, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 50.90 mm (w) x 55.66 mm (h), weighing 21.6 grams, a late war example with a soldered eagle and loss of silver finish, in overall near extremely fine condition.
