Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS Marksmanship Badge, II Class

(Waffen-SS Schützenabzeichen, II. Klasse). Constructed of silvered cupal, the obverse consisting of a central target composed of a bullseye surrounded by four rings, inside of an oak leaf wreath, with the double Sig runes of the SS at the bottom, the reverse marked with the SS insignia and “GES. GESCH.” (“PROTECTED BY LAW”), measuring 34.36 mm (w) x 33.51 mm (h), weighing 4.8 grams, the badge is missing its vertical pinback apparatus, otherwise in near extremely fine condition.
