Serbia, Kingdom. An Order of St. Sava, III Class Commander, c.1945

A Serbian Order of St. Sava, in gold gilt on Maltese cross and blue and white enamels, with Serbian coat of arms and crown in each quadrant. Obverse centre medallion bearing image of St. Sava in green robes in enamel, encircled in Order’s motto translating to “One's Own Work Achieves All”. Reverse bearing 1883 in gold on white enamel encircled with gold laurel on blue enamel, measuring 84.59mm (h), x 51.91 (w) to top of cross on crown suspension), 45.7 grams, with correct replacement neck ribbon, light contact marks, extremely fine condition.
