Includes:

1. Medal for Bravery, Type I: in silver with red enamels, number impressed "343108" on the reverse, measuring 37.5 mm (w) x 42 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, circular highlight evident on the reverse, chipping and loss evident on a few of the enamelled letters, edge nicks, bruised, contact marks, suspended from a ribboned rectangular hanger with an intact screwpost, missing its screwback.

2. Medal for Bravery, Type II: in silver with red enamels, un-numbered, measuring 37 mm (w) x 42 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, edge nicks, bruised, light contact overall, lightly soiled original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided magnetic metal suspension with pinback.

Near fine and better than fine, respectively.

 

Footnote: The Medal for Bravery was instituted on October 17, 1938 and awarded for personal bravery in a theater of operations; in defense of USSR borders; for performance of a soldier's duty in life-risking situations; and for activities against spies and subversive elements.
