Austria-Hungary, Empire. A 1915 Promotion Document to Dr. Viktor Grünfeld

(Beförderungsurkunde). An elaborate and well-preserved Austro-Hungarian promotion document, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, issued 3 November 1915 and retroactively effective to 1 November, appointing Grünfeld to the rank of Stabsarzt (Staff Doctor), issued in Vienna and certified by the stamped signature of Minister of National Defence Friedrich Freiherr von Georgi, named to Dr. Viktor Grünfeld as a recipient of the Order of Franz Joseph among other distinctions, measuring 29 cm (w) x 46 cm (h), folded into quadrants and demonstrating minor discoloration, a superb wartime promotion document in near extremely fine condition.
