(Langemarck-Kreuz mit Verleihungsurkunde). Constructed of a patinated non-magnetic metal alloy, consisting of a St. George’s Cross with beveled arms, the obverse bearing a raised inscription of “LANGEMARCK” across the three and nine o’clock arms, the six o’clock arm bearing a raised inscription of “26. RES. K.” (“26. RESERVE-KORPS”), the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42.66 mm (w) x 42.12 mm (h), weighing 10.3 grams, demonstrating minor scratching and loss of finish to the base metal (with a deeper gouge to the twelve o’clock arm), in near extremely fine condition.

Accompanied by its award document, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to “G. GURDUM” as a resident of Bonn, issued in Köln on 1 October 1933, measuring 21.5 cm (w) x 29 cm (h), demonstrating minor tearing and discolouration, a scarce accompaniment to the award in better than very fine condition.
