Austria, Empire. An 1898 Jubilee Medal, 60th Anniversary of Franz Joseph I

Medal for the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph, constructed of gilded bronze, obverse with profile of Franz Joseph circumscribed by name and title, with laurel crown on his head, the reverse with an inscription of Latin “In Memoriam Sexagesimi Anni Imperii Feliciter Peracti” (Translation: In Memory of the Sixtieth Year of the Empire Successfully Completed) and dates “1848-1898” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 38.27 mm (w) x 42.15mm (h) (to top of ring suspension) in diameter, weighing at 27.3 grams, original tri-fold ribbo, in very fine condition.
